Food Review : TERAS PADI, Tegalalang - Bali

BALI! Now I'm going to review one restaurant/cafe in Bali Island, Indonesia.
Actually, when I went there I didn't plan to make any review on my blog yet. So, probably the pictures won't tell much. Luckily, I memang suker tangkap gambar menu, makanan, just for my personal collection.

Ok, I'll start with the review...

Actually, the tour guide was the one who bring us here. TERAS PADI Restaurant which located exactly inside sawah terassering yang bertingkat2 tue, Cekingan area. It is a place where you can relax in between natural beauty of rice field, trees and fresh air. I can say that they only offer simple food, good for tea time in the afternoon while watching on the beautiful scenery there. But eventhough the price is a bit pricey, but its worth the money. It's the same price with typical Cafe price while here you get something different. So no worries with the price la, still affordable too if you used to eat at cafe type of restaurant in Malaysia :)

This is what I can quote from their website:
Teras Padi Cafe is open since Juli 2002, with 60% guest is Japanese, Eropa, America, Australia and 20 % is domestic. At our restaurant is special Indonesian food but with international taste and traditional cuisine.

Since that time was tea time, we ordered this fried banana a.k.a pisang goreng. What special with this pisang goreng is that there is a dip sauce for it, made by gula merah a.k.a gula melaka. And the gula taste soooo nice, I think they mixed with daun pandan so the smell also nice :)

Then I ordered this as well; gado2. Yeap gado2 is not type of food originated from Bali. But since I'm Sundanese, I just want to try how people outside Bandung make gado2. What I can say about this gado2 is: nice, the taste is not like typical gado2 sold everywhere, the taste is more to Hotel Restaurant type of Gado2. My tongue is not that suitable for expensive food, hehe, so this one I only can say OK.

Hindu prayer set in the middle of sawah. A thing that you'll see everywhere in Bali.

Me, with the cafe itself as background. Most of the visitors are mat saleh that time.

For Muslim, this cafe is offering Halal food. And for those who are on tour, this might be a good stop for sembahyang Ashar since they have Mushalla for all of us to answer the prayer time.

I give this restaurant 8.5/10. Will surely come again if got chance :)
